Abstract The vaporization of vanadium pentoxide from CaO-SiO 2 -VO x ternary slags using different gas treatment regimens and parallel vacuum extirpation to treat V-bearing at 1873 K has been developed in the present study. novelty study is monitor effect alumina dissolution on phenomenon. Vanadium high vapor pressure temperatures over 1500 K. When slags, kept dense crucibles, are injected with oxygen, V O 5 bubbles formed which forced out by extirpation. could be then collected exhaust gases. mechanism process phenomenon described as formation phase resulting oxidation lower-valent oxides slag. This would form microbubbles molten slag bulk due low surface tension between slag, thereby increasing contact surface. At same time, crucible material dissolve causing an increase viscosity.
